CREATING A DATABASE IN ACCESS

Here’s an extraction  taken from one of my eBooks , Here’s a quick overview to get you started and apply some if not all the above concepts discussed (from earlier chapters). Creating a new database in Access Step 1 –  Start Microsoft Access and you are presented with an interface where you can choose from a number of different templates. The screen shot presented below shows a few template examples: If you are going to select one of the options (refer to  Options ), you will be taken to an interface (refer to  Categories ) where you’ll see the templates that are specific to that category. Categories Step 2 –  You will need to give your database a name. To do that, click on file (located on the top left of the interface) and then click ‘save as’. You will then see two command options to ‘ Save Database As ’ or ‘ Save Object As ’ as shown in the image below. You then need to select a file type. The default file type is ‘accdb’ or you can select to save it as a data
